Hannah Hurnard
English writer Hannah Hurnard is best known for her Christian allegories, especially Hinds' Feet on High Places. She was born in 1905, and was raised a Quaker. She spent her adult life as a missionary in Haifa, Israel, returning to England after 50 years of work there. Her work in Israel led her to some conclusions that later caused many of her friends in orthodox circles to question her doctrine. She outlines her change of thinking in the powerful little bookUnveiled Glory, often employing terms very like those used in her allegorical fiction
