G.J.C. McKitrick lives in Sherwood Park, Alberta, with his wife. He has a B.F.A. in Drama from the University of Calgary and a Master of Christian Studies degree from Regent College in Vancouver. His first novel "A Rose in the Toaster" was written as a partial fulfillment of his master's degree thesis. In the late 1980s he and his family lived for four years in rural Thailand and his second novel "A Walk in the Thai Sun" came out of that experience. These days he writes poetry, songs, short stories, novels, stage plays and essays under the name G.J.C. McKitrick and speculative fiction under the name T.K. Boomer. Although three of his stage plays have been produced, he has not pursued the publication of his fiction until recently. He is currently working on a science fiction epic called "The Fahr Trilogy" and several short stories and songs. His non-literary activities include music composition, hockey fandom, bird watching and travel.
